ABSTRACT

Despite the diminishing finances of many public school systems, many resources are still available to help in advancing the development of the individual adolescent, especially the adolescent who is receiving psychotherapy. Often therapists and/or parents are not aware of these resources. This chapter will consider resources available in most school districts, including programs for adolescents diagnosed as seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) according to Public Law 94–142 (and its recent successor, P. L. 101–476).
