Anthony Forge is Senior Lecturer in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics. His formal training in anthropology was received at Cambridge. His research interests and field study include primitive art in New Guinea and kinship in London, and he has also been involved in a cooperative study of kinship in a middle-class sector of London. He has several publications resulting from these ventures. During the fall term of 1969 he was Visiting Professor of Anthropology at Yale University.
