ABSTRACT
The first three papers address at the most general level the relationship between knowledge and freedom. They all reflect on this volume’s subtheme: “Is liberty the daughter of knowledge?” The interesting point, not lost on Margareta Bertilsson, is that the relationship is proposed in terms of knowledge begetting freedom, not the other way round. It is worth considering the issues at stake here.
