ABSTRACT

One day the Kurds in our room approached the Greek engineer: “Bedo, you have to help us break out of the prison and escape.” Bedo answered, “First of all, I don’t trust you Kurds to keep a secret. Secondly, I am Greek; if we get caught, they’ll surely hang me.” The Kurds threatened to strangle him if he refused. He said to me, “Badveli, I can never cope with these Kurds. Risking all dangers, I shall have to help them.”
