ABSTRACT
In Algeria, a crazy slaughter has set the country on fire. No one can say exactly what the death toll is—50,000? 60,000?—but no one has been spared. Killings of civilians, including children, through terrorist bombings, torture and rape are part of everyday life. Powerless, grief-stricken, silent citizens watch their country sink into bloody turmoil.
