ABSTRACT
A paradigm shift is about to happen. For the first twenty years following the advent of the environmental movement, economics and ecology were seen as opposites, even as inimical to each other. It was not until the mid-1990s that more and more people realised that economics and ecology are ideally complementary; when linked together in an intelligent way, they can become a mutually-propelling turbo engine.
