Young Volunteers as Social Entrepreneurs

Following three decades of conflict, Cambodia is rebuilding and changing quickly. After more than a decade of peace, Cambodia is still a young nation with many signs of positive improvement. The economy grew at double digit rates from 2004 to 2006 ¹ with significant growth continuing into 2008. The poverty rate declined to 35% in 2004 from 45–50% a decade earlier ² . Cambodia faces serious challenges and significant opportunities. The time is ripe for the contributions of social entrepreneurs.
