ABSTRACT
The late chief justice Warren Burger used to say that cameras would be allowed into the Supreme Court “over my dead body.” Later in his life, though, Burger thought better. “I thought this might give the networks too much of a temptation,” he told an interviewer in 1986. “So I just say no.”
