ABSTRACT
The ALUCAST s.r.o. 1 company was founded in 2001 by specialists in the field of investment precision casting who, in the last decade of the twentieth century, initiated serial production of investment precision aluminium (Al) castings. If during the period of socialism in the Czechoslovak Republic this precise technological production of Al castings was described as the ‘rough’ casting technology, then, thanks to the founders of the ALUCAST, parts produced by this technology are currently requisite for many world-renowned companies for their products, which can be found in outer space, in the air, on land and under water. The precision Al castings produced by ALUCAST offer designers and users the possibility to produce light, highly durable, complex parts that today successfully meet the requirements of tomorrow’s designers, in terms of forms and high-level specifications of utilized castings.
