ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book presents an analysis of the new judgment of the Court, favouring a contextual reading of the latest link in the Kadi judicial chain. The book provides Antonella Angelini dwells on the 2010 decision of the General Court, to underscore its crucial role in the judicial mosaic of the Kadi affair as a whole. Paolo Buscos contribution is concerned with the arguments brought before the CJEU by the intervening states, and with their role in the litigation at large. Arman Sarvarian provides a discussion of the very possibility of subjecting UN Security Council resolutions to scrutiny and judicial review.
