ABSTRACT
A key purpose of this chapter is to explain some of the basic features of the asset management industry (if such we can call it) which lies at the heart of the financial sector and to highlight both some rather surprising facts about its performance and some ethical issues that arise in respect of fund manager compensation in particular.
