This chapter is concerned with what the authors of history-of-economicthought textbooks say about historiographic topics in the various beginning and concluding sections of their books. These topics are multiple, complex, subtle and highly nuanced-thus much more difficult to deal with in a linear textual progression than the subjects of the first two chapters.
