ABSTRACT
There are several bodies of work describing themselves as “critical realism”. The critical realism whose ontology I shall discuss is that which arises from the work of Roy Bhaskar in philosophy, and is best represented in sociology by Margaret Archer and in economics by Tony Lawson. 1
