Governance and small arms and light weapons

Part III of this book is concerned with characteristics, issues and lessons of governance processes that regulate or respond to problems of SALW and armed violence. Whereas previous chapters have examined the development of research understandings of processes and significance of SALW proliferation and associated risks of armed violence, the following chapters address efforts to manage, shape or constrain these processes.
