ABSTRACT
Climate change is one of the largest challenges facing humanity this century. With direct linkages to development, climate change compounds the struggles already experienced by the world’s poor. Developing countries are expected to be hit hardest by climate change and the impact on Africa is predicted to be more severe and exacerbate other ongoing pressures such as land degradation and water scarcity. Adaptation to these changes and better management of climate change risks are essential for many countries in Africa.
