ABSTRACT

I am grateful to Paulo Quattrone and the other editors for inviting me to write this brief commentary. 1 I do not intend to give an overview of common themes running through the many and varied chapters in the volume. Nor do I intend to write an ‘underview’ that purports to identify the background assumptions or common motives that underlie the chapters. Instead, I will briefly reflect upon the idea of ‘imagining business,’ on the basis of my continuing interest in practices and textual devices for rendering images in the natural and social sciences.
