ABSTRACT
Introduction Robin Murray’s department pioneered the application of neuroimaging to the study of psychosis. This work helped to improve our understanding of the mechanisms that underlie psychotic symptoms and psychotic disorders. In this chapter, I will first focus on neuroimaging studies that investigated the pathophysiology of auditory hallucinations, and then describe how neuroimaging was used to examine the mechanisms underlying the onset of psychotic disorders.
