ABSTRACT

Beginning in the mid-1990s, a urry of new construction began at colleges of business administration throughout the United States. About onethird of the top 50 MBA programs ranked by U.S. News and World Report moved into new buildings or into extensively renovated facilities. In addition, 29 MBA programs outside that top 50 also moved into new buildings. This means that two assessments of moving can be made: (1) changes in rankings for the movers that were in the top 50, and (2) whether the movers outside the top 50 entered the top 50 after moving.
