ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we examine parts of the brain that are engaged when people read Braille with their fingertips. The primary tool of our research is functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and we illustrate the methods used to extract information about local cerebral information processing from fMRI data with examples from our research.
