ABSTRACT
Robert was admitted to the Walden School at age 10, after spending several weeks in an inpatient child psychiatric hospital 1 for aggressive behaviors at home and school. The Department of Children and Families had taken custody and determined that he could not return home but rather needed admission to this specialized residential treatment facility for deaf children with emotional and behavioral problems.
