ABSTRACT
This chapter is an exploration of the Internet versions of three U.S. newspapers that were among the earliest to publish on the World Wide Web. It tries to identify their approaches to Web page design and graphic use, examines how the approaches facilitate delivering news information and change the process of communication, and explores an alternative model of Internet newspapers based on several models relating to Internet communication.
