ABSTRACT
It is not my intention in this closing chapter to attempt to endorse or critique, either individually or as a whole, the chapters that constitute this edited collection. Rather, I wish to take this opportunity to encourage readers to avoid limiting themselves to reflecting on the issues covered in the rich array of contributions contained in this volume and instead to move toward formulating their own insights. In order to facilitate this process, I want to tentatively sketch out some possible directions that seek to locate the interactional episodes contained in Corporation: After Mr. Sam within a wider contextual framework. In adopting this approach, it is hoped that this will open up further discussion as opposed to offering the sense of closure more typically associated with afterwords.
