ABSTRACT

The soft ding of the elevator door opening onto the fourth floor of the hospital was almost lost in the bustling noises of the outpatient ward. Kim MacDonald stepped off the elevator and trailed Rusty down the corridor past the admitting station. Making a right-hand turn halfway down the corridor, Kim felt a blast of sun from the west-facing windows, turned left, and reached for the brass door handle. This room was reserved for the weekly Job Finders Club meeting.
