ABSTRACT

This chapter describes resources on economic and business aspects of mass communications, including bibliographies, indexes, and other resources that identify business/trade, economics, and management/scholarly literature. Readers should also consult the statistical resources discussed at the end of chapter 1. Of considerable importance is DISCLOSURE SEC (0450), containing full texts of annual reports and other federally required company documents. Section 4-D identifies a selection of major trade and industry associations, professional organizations, and public interest groups because we believe their offices can provide supplemental industry statistics. Selected secondary resources include industry surveys, economic analyses, and management studies.
