ABSTRACT

On 10 May 1999, the German-French Centre for Police and Customs Cooperation began operation with a staff of 25 French and German officers in Offenburg, Germany. Following an increase in personnel to 65 staff members, the centre moved to more spacious buildings in Kehl am Rhein in December 2002. Initially established to support and enhance police cooperation in the border region, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2009, celebrated with a ceremony on 21 October 2009, the centre could already look back proudly on its record.
