Team Cognition, Communication, and Sharing

A common denominator in theories of team cognition is that they presume team members share something, be it a mental model of taskwork or teamwork, a common set of categories, knowledge about members’ tendencies and skills, or schema. As Klimoski and Mohammed (1994) and Cannon-Bowers and Salas (2001) note, exactly what is meant by “share” differs across theories.
