ABSTRACT
Through the many chapters in this volume, the contributors have provided us with detailed insight into the previous and present governance and organisation of European top football. Given the lack of academic analysis, let alone description of how the most popular sport in Europe is set up and managed, we hope that the book inspires scholars on sport to extend, develop, and deepen the analyses of football’s organisation within and across countries and at the transnational level.
