ABSTRACT

A few years ago I realized that my elementary and secondary school experience at a campus laboratory school had become a chapter in the history of American education. My two younger brothers, Rick and Greg, and I attended the Campus School at Western Michigan College, now University, from kindergarten through high school. What follows is a memoir of my years there with additional comments, and occasional corrections, from them. We had exceptionally good schooling, unlike that of many children and an experience that I wish was available to all children today.
