ABSTRACT

The voices of the reflective leaders in Chapter 13 provide an inspiring, yet realistic insiders’ view of the rewards and challenges of leadership for partnerships. They articulate many themes addressed in other chapters of this book, suggesting important links between research and practice. Among these points of overlap are perspectives on boundary spanning, accountability, power-sharing, and what Riehl in Chapter 2 calls “the emotional aspects of leadership practice,” as well as recommendations for leaders and leadership preparation programs.
