ABSTRACT
This interpretive dictionary of vocational education and training (VET) terms is intended to focus on the different dimensions of usage of key terms, bearing in mind that our interest lies in the nature of qualifications within an occupational context, that is in occupational qualifications. The dictionary is based on usage in England, France, Germany and the Netherlands, drawing on examples from lorry driving, bricklaying, software engineering and nursing.
