ABSTRACT
Mainstream political theory or international relations approaches do not usually focus on these questions, that is, they fail to thoroughly contemplate collapse, political chaos and widespread, unorganized, violence: many, quite simply, lack a theory of order. In contrast, Carl Schmitt’s work is entirely focused on and informed by the concept of (legal) order, which he strives to define and explain (Zarmanian, 2006).
