ABSTRACT
Beauregard,‘Beau’, is an adorable 6-year-old boy from Alabama with close cropped blonde hair and cowboy boots. He loves animals, his daddy's motorcycle, rides horses and hopes to learn to hunt with a rifle, like his uncles. Beau is in the first grade and just learning to read. He has been raised to be polite, always answering ‘yes, Ma'am’ and ‘yes, Sir’ to adults when they speak to him. Beau's parents are divorced, but their houses are not far apart and he goes back and forth depending on which parent's work schedule allows them to care for him.
