ABSTRACT
Over the past decade, numerous changes have affected the role of the academic librarian. These changes have subsequently affected all subject specialists and their roles in the grand scheme of the university and academic mission. The enhanced and changing role of the education librarian, like all academic librarians, has been transformed by technology, changes in electronic information formats, and the impact of technology on all levels of our society. Much like the role of the classroom teacher, and academic faculty, the role and responsibilities of the education librarian are in continuous motion and therefore transition.
