She hasbeen married once before to Albert, and Sylvie, herdaughterfromthatmarriage, committedsuicide whenshewas seventeen. Murielle blames herselffor this tragedy. She hasnoresources, noskills, no ambitionand no confidence to helpherescape herpredicament. She has become imprisoned by herown limitations and heronly recourse is rage.
