ABSTRACT

David Marner's Glengarry Glen Ross was performed in Japan by members of the Bungakuza (or "Literary Theatre") at the Parco Theatre in Tokyo, 4-21 February, 1988, under the direction of Emori Toru (b. 1944), who also translated the work.1 As is often the case for productions by large theatre troupes in Japan, it subsequently traveled to various other cities-Yokohama, Iwata, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Kobe-from May 12 through 29.
