Vote Winner or a Nuisance: Email and Elected Politicians’ Relationship with Their Constituents

A number of commentators (Scammell 1995, Margetts, 2000 and Kavanagh 1997) have predicted that technology will transform political communication. Within the wider framework of the Internet, email represents a potentially revolutionary force in British politics that could fundamentally alter how MPs seek re-election and change the nature of their relationship with constituents.
