ABSTRACT

Multivariate research methods have become popular tools for analyzing data from experi ments conducted in many fields of psychology. Formally speaking, multivariate statistical meth ods are those methods that are applied to data from experiments (or observations) in which there are multiple dependent variables (Pedhazur, 1982; Tatsuoka, 1988). However, the distinction between multivariate and univariate procedures tends to be clouded by the fact that some re searchers treat multiple regression as a multivari ate technique (Pedhazur, 1982).
