ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a prototype for global schools and a method for achieving global Humanity Flag certification. The prototype for a global school gives more substance to the paradigm for a global core curriculum proposed in chapter 3. This global school prototype considers the relationships between school personnel, the physical plant, the grouping of students, global certification and resources, and school activities. The goal is to promote the longevity and happiness of school administrators, teachers, and students, while preparing students to assume the responsibility to ensure their own long life and happiness and that of others. Of course, the central focus of schools is the education of students. Therefore, the interests of schools staffs must be balanced with student educational needs.
