ABSTRACT

Does beauty belong essentially to what passes between God and humanity in the Hebrew Bible? Does beauty represent such an important aspect of the Bible's statements about God, that without all that is said about beauty, the Bible would not even be the Bible? In order to be able to answer these questions, we must be aware of the fact that two basic distinctions have to be made: a distinction referring to statements about beauty, and a distinction referring to the Bible's statements about God. 1
