ABSTRACT

Half of all pregnancies in the United States are unplanned. A college student who used a condom that broke. A 40-year-old woman who thought she

couldn’t get pregnant. A new mother who is breastfeeding and assumed that would prevent pregnancy. A married couple who are debating whether they are really done having children. A teenager who thought you couldn’t become pregnant the first time. Break-up sex or make-up sex. Some who feel lucky, others who feel unlucky.
