ABSTRACT
Jeffrey Weeks is the author of numerous articles and some twenty books. These include Coming Out (1977), Sex,Politics and Society (1981), Sexuality and its Discontents (1985), Sexuality (1986/ 2003), Between the Acts (with Kevin Porter, 1990/1998), Invented Moralities (1995), Making Sexual History (2000), Same Sex Intimacies (with Brian Heaphy and Catherine Donovan, 2001), and Sexualities and Society: A Reader (edited with Janet Holland and Matthew Waites, 2003). He is Professor Emeritus at London’s South Bank University, where he was executive dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences.
