ABSTRACT

Given the extraordinary socioeconomic, demographic, and technological changes taking place in the world today, business organizations and academic institutions are increasingly engaging in more innovative ways of managing. Adler (2006) and Allison (1988) suggest that simple linear solutions conventionally advocated in the economics literatures are no longer valid for today’s complex business environment. This chapter identifies storytelling as one such nonlinear process that may be deployed for effective management of workforce diversity.
