The development of foreign direct investment and its impact on firms' productivity, employment and exports in Indonesia

Since the 1997–1998 economic crisis, Indonesia has been quite successful in restoring the economy, mainly through increasing its industrial production capacity and growing employment in the domestic and exports sectors. Consequently, the economy is now more resilient in responding to new crises, which can be seen from its stand-out performance during the recent global financial crisis.
