ABSTRACT
Table 12.1 presents 2009 occupational data for Latinos, those occupations that did not require extensive education-service, sales, construction and maintenance, production, transportation and material moving-in which 62.3% of all were employed in the United States, Chicanos/Latinos were slightly overrepresented at 18.1% of all those occupations. Among professions, only in preschool and elementary teaching were Chicanos/Latinos proportionately represented. Table 12.1 presents a few occupations in which Chicanos/Latinos were overrepresented. Among those were production occupations.
