ABSTRACT
Kimberly Powell received her Ph.D. from Stanford University in education. Her research focuses on aesthetic foundations of education, youth and community civic engagement, and the cultural contexts of learning. She is currently a senior research associate at The Pennsylvania State University, has taught courses in qualitative methods and art education, and is the managing editor of the American Journal of Education.
