ABSTRACT
In any society, production must, at the same time, be the condition for its reproduction. Reproduction of a society includes both the biological reproduction of its members and the reproduction of the conditions for the material production which also provides for the subsistence of the members of the society. Therefore reproduction in a society, where the population is growing, necessitates increasing material production to provide for the subsistence of a growing population.
