ABSTRACT
The cyborg is then seen as a metaphor for the ‘inhuman’ aspects of leadership, and a cyborg leader is thus a metaphor for a leader who appears to be part man and part machine. He or she is inspiring and successful but also a mechanistic and sometimes self-centred and non-emotional rational being. A cyborg leader appears rational, calculative, competitive, and focused to a degree that makes them appear almost mechanistic and robot-like.
