ABSTRACT
As stated earlier, the activities of the CDC are regarded as part of the aid programme, but the nature of its resource flows are such that they do not accord with the definition of aid used here. Both in general and specifically in relation to Malawi, CDC resource flows do, however, possess some aid characteristics. For this reason and for the sake of completeness, a brief description of the CDC and its activities in Malawi is given below.
