ABSTRACT

As explained in the previous chapter, the success of a collaboration environment not only depends on what is introduced to the organisation but is also highly influenced by how it is introduced. When a new system is introduced in an organisation, it results in the adoption of new technologies that will inevitably affect some work processes. Therefore, the organisation has to adapt these processes to enable the effective implementation and adoption of the new technological environment. Thus, it is important that the introduction of new collaboration environments is managed through an organisational change management approach.
