ABSTRACT

Mood conditions are one of the most common mental health issues, and are among the top ten causes of disability worldwide (United States Public Health Service, n.d.). In the United States, major depressive disorder is the leading cause of disability among people aged 15-44 (National Institutes of Health, n.d.). Although mood conditions are quite treatable, many people who suffer from them – as many as 80 percent – do not receive care (Public Broadcasting Service, n.d.).
